Marble Cheesecake for my Colleague - Cheesecake Trio # 2

My colleague ordered this cake for her daughter few weeks back before I moved.
I used Alex Goh's recipe and as always it always crack in my oven.
I didn't whip the cream, and instead used sour cream, still it cracked.
Hated it.

So, I hid the cracks with some make up
And here's the cake

Pn Tan, Hope your girl and your family loved the cake

  1. what a shame! You had to cover up all the pretty swirls in your cake. It looks very yummy still. I would have liked it very much even without the makeup haha. Makeup makes everything look prety :)

  4. Clever & beautiful deco. I experienced that my cake crack if baked in my big oven but ok if I use the smaller one. Guess that could be the same why yours always crack.

    Thanks

    Esther,
My colleague won't mind the crack too if it was as a regular dessert, but it's for her daughter's birthday, so, better cover it up

    Jeannie,
Cracked my head when the cake cracked.
I actually told her to get another cake elsewehre, hahaha.

    Zoe,
Yeah, cheesecakes are always better unadorned

    lena,
This recipe from Alex only. I've tried few more recipes also, and they were ok. Still got minor crack, but not as GRAND as this canyon.

  12. Maybe you try to cover with aluminum foil first and only remove it at last few minutes....

  13. Yummy! I love the way you decorated your cake, looks very professional :)

  14. That's ingenious, really. Nothing like a little "make up" to repair a minor imperfection - and the result is beautiful. :)

  18. Mabel,
Sorry but I don't want to share a recipe that cracks each time I make it. You can find the recipe in Alex Goh's Creative Baking with Cakes.
